For an app to be installed and function properly within an account, specific configurations may be required. These necessary configurations are referred to as app settings, and they can be managed by either the app developer or the app user.
The developer platform supports configuring the following app settings:
- Developer app settings: Enables app developers to set confidential data such as tokens, API keys, or URLs, and so on, as environment variables while submitting the app in the Freshworks Developer portal instead of hard-coding them.
- App installation page settings: Enables app developers to create an installation page where app users can input the required settings to install the app.
